Sport and leisure have always played an important role in Widdersorf. The local sports club – SV Lövenich-Widdersdorf 1986/27 e.V. – is, with over 1,500 members, one of the largest clubs in Cologne. Right from the first hour of developmental work for the residential quarter, SV LöWi was a valuable and representative contact partner. By working with its representatives, a modern sports arena concept was developed that made it possible to have the sports complex in the centre of the residential area without being disruptive. Two large artificial turf fields and a natural green wall are the impressive result of this collaboration.

In addition to their focus on football, LöWi offer popular sports, cycling, gymnastics and much more. For further information click here. These sports opportunities are supplemented by cycling and walking paths in the neighbouring park and the surrounding fields. 

For tennis fans, indoor and outdoor courts are available at the Widdersdorfer St. Antonius Tennis Club. The tennis complex is just a few minutes’ walk from the residential quarter.
